FIFA 15 Coins Cup semifinal took place yesterday in Sao Paulo between Argentina and Netherlands. After a fruitless 120-minute match, it came to the penalty shoot out. Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero’s two brave saves sent them in to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Final. This is Argentina’s first entrance of World Cup Final in 24 years!

In the first half, Argentina had an excellent chance when Lionel Messi got a free kick in the middle outside the box, but his shot was too straight and saved by Jasper Cillessen. Ezequiel Gonzalez also had a header but could not control the ball direction and missed it. Meanwhile Netherlands had been trying hard to get the ball their key player Arjen Robben but no success. The second half becomes even more exhausting when both sides couldn’t break through each other’s defense. At 75th minute Messi spun his man down the right touchline but was felled. The referee played the advantage, allowing Enzo Perez to surge forward and cross for Higuain, whose first-time stab hit the side netting. Netherlands had a perfect chance to end the match in the added time. Robben took Sneijer’s flick and penetrated into Argentinian box. However Robben might have control the ball too much, giving Javier Mascherano time to interrupt his strike by sliding block.

As every one expected, the match came into extra-time inevitably. Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal used up his last substitute allowance, by replacing Van Persie with Klaas-Jan Huntelaaar. That meant he could not, in following the penalty, use Tim Krul the substitute goalkeeper who helped Holland secure a quarterfinal win. At 115th minute Argentina substitute Rodrigo Palacio had a header close to the goal but no luck.
